Getting bigger on YouTube can be complicated as there is so much contents and Creators on the platform. To make its Trending feature based on acquired public more fair, the platform puts in place a new feature to promote new Creators.
It can be frustrating, as a new Creator uploading quality content on YouTube, to see that the platform only highlights channels who already have an audience. That is why the giant of video streaming decided to launch a new feature in order to promote new comers too.
YouTube gives new but rising channels the possibility to be put forward on the Trending page of the platform under two labels : Artists on the Rise (only music) and Creators on the Rise (non musical). Once selected by the YouTube team in one of these categories, the channel is put on the Trending page for 24h with a blue badge.
Available from 1000 suscribers
For now, Artists are only put forward in the United-States at the rate of 3 per week, but the feature is available for Creators in France, India, Japan, Mexico and the UK (at the rate of 1 per week) as well as in Germany, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Spain and the US (at the rate of 3 per week). Creators are automatically eligible to this feature once they reach 1000 suscribers and Artists are eligible to the selection presented in the US whatever the country they live in.
No need to suscribe to anything : YouTube does the selection regarding several criterias such as view count, watch time growth, or how frequently videos are uploaded. Once selected, you’ll receive and email and a YouTube notification on your phone the same day.
