Google has put in place a new measure this week to reassure it’s advertisers. In order to monetize your content on your Youtube Channel, you now need to cumulate 10 000 views on this channel.

Times when the simple act of creating a Youtube Channel was enough to get money out of it are gone. Starting this week, you need to cumulate 10 000 views on your channel to monetize it’s content.

For Google, there is two goals. First, the giant of the internet wishes to reassure its unhappy advertisers that saw their advertisments linked to content they dimmed as unsuitable to their message. In a second time, this will allow Youtube to free more time to control every channels to check if they are conform to the rules of the community.

This change of direction will in fact be a good thing for our partners. Indeed, if you are a Wizdeo partner, it means that you have gone through the ceiling of 10 000 total views on your channel. This measure only means one thing to you : more advertisement placements available for your content.
