If many brands think that summer rhymes with vacations and therefore less time spent on screens, the figures show that this season would in fact be more favorable to influencer campaigns, with audiences in the average of the rest of the year. 


Wizdeo conducted an anonymous study month-by-month, on the 30-days view performances of videos from more than 1,300 worldwide YouTube influencers with no distinction of categories.


Stable views per video during the summer

By assigning a month-by-month performance score for each influencer and their view performances, we notice that view performance remains stable compared to the rest of the year.

A video published in August will therefore have a reach equivalent to the other months of the year; February is lower, and December higher. These conclusions remain the same if we look at sponsored videos with a brand mention, not all videos.

Influencers maintain their frequency of publication during the summer

Influencers aren't dropping their posting pace in July and August either.

According to the study, influencers would actually publish slightly more videos than the annual average during the month of August, offering brands more publishing slots to sponsor their products and/or services.

Collaborating with influencers during the summer is therefore recommended for correct view performances, with the added advantage of occupying slots that, during the rest of the year, especially at the end of the year, are taken by brands.

Considering that a YouTube creator doesn't reach his audience in August is therefore a misconception, we recommend you take advantage of this period to target your audiences.
